In 1962, The Kingtones released their second 45: "A
Love I Had." They consider this recording one of
the best sounding and best engineered records that
they put out.

was the leader, booking agent, and promoter of The
Kingtones, to quit. The future of The Kingtones
appeared uncertain and caused radio stations not to
play their record.
